If white dances, we should get even with the race on the next roll. Still, two extra chequers on the 1 and white already having born off four does not bode well for us.

If we stay on the 6, we can run faster to the 12 point and maybe get lucky hitting white again. Gammon risk is low, so I prefer this play.
