The Backgammon Café - Tools for Backgammon Players

I've been a quiet reader of BGonline for sometime, and wanted to share that for the past few years, I've had a great time co-launching the The Backgammon Café with Alex Walker. We have developed software tools and content we thought would help make the game of Backgammon more fun and fulfilling.

The tools we've released so far:

-Interactive lessons for New, Casual, Beginner-Intermediate that can help those players improve their game.

-Drill libraries by game category with text and GNU analysis.

-GammonFinder - a tool for players and clubs, retail, orgs to find each other more easily (I got sick of being in new places and not knowing where the games were being played)

-Free Club Manager software - I tried starting a club 5 years ago, and saw how much work it took to put one together. And then the stupidity of having to pay to manage a club through meetup.com -- 300$/yr or something like that. So ours is free, club managers can create RSVP events, recurring events, calendarizing, head counts, etc.

We've also built a library, glossary, downloadable scorecards.... I think more than half of what we've put on there is free.

I'll add an occasional note when I think we have a cool new tool that's live. Most of our tools are not yet live, but somewhere along the conveyor belt. I can always send you access to imperfect demo tools if you're interested.

Please get in touch if you're interested! info@thebackgammoncafe.com
