JF match

Jan, according to my notes, the 600-game bot-vs-human match was played in Harvey Bristol Suites in Dallas with Jellyfish 3.0 at its top setting of level 7 (and protected from backgame exploitation by a caution switch and Malcolm Davis as a manual backup) in 1997.
(For context, I believe Jellyfish was first released in 1994 and Snowie was first released in 1998.)
Bill Robertie, who was one of the many spectators, reported the JF match on his backgammon timeline (published I forgot where) as 1997, though elsewhere it was reported as 1999.
I can e-mail you more details if you are interested.
