Well, it's always possible I interpreted the description of the complexity as being pessimistic. His description does seem negative to me, rather than a challenge. Perhaps that was not his intention.

I started playing Nack regularly because I wanted to learn to play the checkers better. It makes me think, though not always as successfully as I'd like. Having to make the brain work a bit is a good thing and I wish the variation were more popular.
