There are 14 hitters now, plus a second whack if he rolls 22 or 44. Do these all lose the market? Not always, think of 31 hitting with 36 back-atcha. But a lot of the time, yes. Most of the missing rolls, all but the smallest ones, at least put us far enough ahead in the race that we're not looking at many immediate turnarounds. Our best parlays open up gammon possibilities.

That all is good enough for me to double, especially from the center since Oppo already had cube access on said turnarounds. Big take though, since after most misses he's very much alive in the race, with hardly any gammon danger. He's not even a completely crispy critter on a lot of hit/re-enter sequences. What if he comes in on the ace? If we have to leave indirects in the outer boards on the way home, that little watermelon seed can squirt out and hit us in the eye. Owweee!
