While it would be nice to make our five point board by lifting the 8pt it is problematic in clearing the points out of order when we're up enough in the race. Also, we don't rate to get a shot any time soon so if we forego making the deuce point this turn we should be able to make it next turn either by playing our inner board checkers/spares or by lifting the 8pt if we throw a six.
