Good call.

I had a short dream about this position, LOL. Woke up thinking about it and that your play may be best since it sure looked more pure.

I think a part I overlooked is bringing two down not only removes those fly shots it still leaves open the option of blitzing. Blitz or prime, depending on the rolls. Whereas making the deuce right away is much more committal. The issue of when to run those back checkers could be more difficult if no solid prime to back it up but instead a partial blitz.
