I am coming around both on Jacoby not being required, and slightly sort-of-related the idea that the cube can't be turned at 2-away-all instead of the super early turn that usually happens at -2 -2 . I used to not like that idea, but it's interesting to me now.

The thing I do enjoy about Jacoby is not that it shortens games but the more speculative cubes from turning early to activate gammons. I enjoy that calculation. However if someone prefers no Jacoby, I am fine with that. Whereas in the past I would have felt 'whaddaya mean, with Jacoby rule is the way money play is played'.
