I don't see how an extremely rare Kauder paradox position is so important to deciding if one wants to play with Jaccoby rule or not.

It's about aesthetics. A rule that allows that kind of counter-intuitive situation offends my sense of what rules should do.

Agree that it's extremely rare and perhaps of no real consequence in practice. Likewise, the positions where Jacoby makes the difference by "activating gammons" is also rare. By contrast, TG or D/P comes up fairly often, and removing that decision just dumbs things down.
