Looking Ahead

Why are the bots so good compared to humans? One of if not the biggest reasons is that they can see all the combinations of our move compared against the opponent's upcoming grid of rolls. (and then our rolls in reply depending on what level of analysis we use, and so on and so forth) They specifically have that look ahead vision. Humans in general don't approach problems this way of course. It would be far too tedious, time consuming, and too tough to employ. What us mere mortals have to do then comes down to pattern recognition.
For me it comes naturally to try to define how something is going to unfold. I realized long ago that it doesn't for many people and I'm not referring to games, I'm talking about life in general. I can remember the instance it really hit home where I thought to myself "Wtf, how do some people make it through the day?".
Short story time...One of my good friends was at my place and we had made a grocery run for snacks, alcohol, and the like. My fridge was already jam packed and she went to put away some of the things we bought. I knew how full my fridge was so I'm watching her go to put in this two liter of Pepsi. (Pepsi rules, Coke sucks, EAD Carter!) Anyway, I realize where she's going to try to stick it in and the domino effect that will happen when she does of a slew of things in my fridge just falling out. I pop over quickly as she shoves the Pepsi in just in time to catch the falling items. I looked at her and said 'What did you think was going to happen!?" She gave me the giggle + idk? That's when I realized some people don't see the consequences of actions until they happen.
So while I don't ever remember specifically training that look ahead function I do use it day in and day out. 24/7/365. I'm always making my best judgement of how a position is most likely to unfold and trying to take advantage of that as best I can with the dice presented to me.
