yes, looks a bit weird, I'll check that later. But what I wanted to point out is that it is hard for the white side to misplay the checkers.

Cubeless BGBlitz 3-ply rollout wins in 84% of the games, whereas XG has only 65 or 71% wins. To me this indicates clearly that XG doesn't understand this type of position.
