A BMAB Move

I know the BMAB loopholes have been discussed ad nauseum before but playing today with my PR in view while playing I noticed my PR before this play was X. After my play of naturally taking a checker off it remained at X and throughout the rest of the game. Clearly a better play for my PR would have been to play 11/5 4/1 and wait until the opponent had a potential one roll turn upcoming and then take off the checker if possible. That way I get credit for another decision. I went back and played through the sequence with the same dice not taking off a checker until the final moment and of course it counted as a decision and lowered my PR.
