Make the 4 point. Opponent will have to give up something on the next roll. You then can clear or closeout with 13 numbers. 11 is also extremely strong.
Other numbers either
Hit lose with 62 or 53 (giving opponent 11/36 chance to stay in game and losing some gammons)
Attack with 33.
Wait things out with other rolls, many of which add an active attacker for the ace point.
The shot danger from having to clear the 15 point is mitigated by many of those numbers giving a loose hit on the ace point option which locks up the game when it works.
I see the clearing play as giving up too many games racing from not giving attacking chances and letting opponent play with spares non wastefully. Also letting the game become a race plays to the opponent's cube access and he will only be down 11 and on roll. Also. I see the open point as giving up too much long term danger. The reason I am not confident is clearing avoids the immediate 26 hitting number.
