Bringing the blot down from the midpoint seems mandatory - remove the direct shots and bring a 13th checker to the zone.

Then, anchor up or prep to leap out by playing 23/22? White will have 12 or 13 in the zone before long, so anchoring looks sound, but our race lead means we will be more likely to crunch first in a mutual deuce-point game duel.

So, 23/22 13/9.
