Kind of depressing when your primary game plan is to avoid getting backgammoned. 13/9 is right out, because getting extra blots picked up isn't going to help us win very often, but losing a triple becomes much more likely.

No need to give up completely on the win, though. 6/2 for the 4 avoids unaliving another checker on the ace, and might lead to our having a decent board, though not an ideal one, when we hit later if that happens. What if we get a flyshot next turn? We aren't obliged to hit it. We can come out to the 18 and sit there, playing the other half of the roll in our home.
