Interesting. OTB I likely play 16/12 13/12. To me leaving no shots looks like the best way to win the game.

16/12 6/5 , leaving 8 and 9 is 10 shots with the D2 blocked, one less than 16/11, and can fill in the 6 point again later with a 6. Not sure on other factors which point we want to make, but 63 and 62, 54 which may be a little awkward vs the anchor play OK. And as not DMP, if hitting occurs we likely win more gammons, so I can see splitting. Ill go with that.
