Editing or pasting positions with cube in GnuBG

Apparently GnuBG (GB) developers have been aware of this problem but weren't able to fix it.

Obviously XG wasn't able to figure out what to do about it either...

Over the years, so many things that I observed about XG made me wonder why and guess why XG's developers, promoters, peddlers, etc. have disappeared fron the scene just when all its worshippers were impatiently waiting for the then announced v3.0 which never came.

I wonder if they feared being outed and chose to avoid inevitable embarrasment and humiliation. What's really hard to believe is that with no new competition, people still pay money for an obsolete product that was abandoned over a decade ago. Does anyone remember when was the last time XG posted in bgonline or other forums or provided support to its users? What a country... :(
