Behind in the race, we'd like to block his anchor better than we're doing now. This roll can help us prepare to make a point in front of him if we play either 20/15 13/10 or 20/12. Going to the 12 point is perfectly safe right now, because if he rolls a 7 he can't afford to hit us because of all the blots in his home.

What about the more forcing 20/15 13/10? That play works much harder toward making a point in front of him, and many of his rolls that hit, may not--how happy would he be to hit with 41, 32 or 64? I don't like that it sets up the super-joker 55 for him when we have a constructive play that doesn't do that, but I think the positives outweigh that negative and so I'd play 20/15 13/10.
