I'm fairly sure that making the five point isn't the best play here, so that aphorism doesn't apply.

Making the seven seems automatic, although making the defensive four point is worth a look. But we're slightly ahead in the race so I'll minimize shots instead of buttoning up the defense and maybe getting a backgame if we're hit. Maybe that's the bot strategy, but doubtful.

So, I'll go with the seven point and then either slot the five point or play 24/23. 24/23 accomplishes nothing, but I'm not in the mood to have a fourth checker sent back, so I'll go with 24/23. 22/21? Worth a look, but seems too loose with the race lead.
