A player who shall remain nameless, once described to me in loud and lengthy detail how he'd lost a match because of what he believed to be a truly incredible parlay. So I responded, "Wow, that was a mathematical impossibility!" He continued his roll, "You're darn right it was!" A moment of silence. He then said, in a softer voice than before, "Well almost, anyway."
