Answers to my own questions: BGBlitz 3.4.2

You can't just download a portable ZIP folder. You need to install it first and then copy to USB, which defeats the purpose. But if you run from USB on a different computer, it only creates a few Java related registry keys and doesn't create files outside of the USB folder.

> 2- Have run any long sessions BGBlitz vs GnuBG?

He didn't answer this and years after I had uninstalled it, I reinstalled it to see if some bugs and limitations were gone and to run BGBlitz vs GnuBG matches myself.

He didn't answer this either. I may be able to post my own results later.

It seems one notch below the highest settings for both bots is acceptably fast enough.

You can't really run "money games" because it doesn't allow beavers. What a joke of a gamblegammon bot...

Yes it does. How stupid is that..?

Also, if it aborts a game well into a long match, you lose the entire match.

If you play beaverless money games, you can ignore the aborted games and just keep going with the session.

Irritating potential paid customers during trial period seems like stupid nerdish approach to me.. :(

I couldn't see a disclosure of this crippleware feature on the download page or in the manual.

You discover it after you install and start playing. Another off-putting sneaky approach to me..

My first impression is that the latest 3.4.2 version is still the same buggy, worthless bot that it was. I may post more observations as I try it.
