My enthusiasm for leaving blots in white's outer board is pretty much nil. I guess I don't have to leave a blot anywhere - I could just play 8/7 8/6. But putting yet another checker on the 6-point doesn't appeal either.

So. Looking at other options, I'll narrow it to starting another point in my home board. Is 8/5 better than 6/4 8/7? I suspect 8/5 might be better as it gets us closer to making a 4-point prime. However, I like the greater diversity toward making the 4 point while also leaving possiblities for making the 5-point anyway.

(And my reasoning may be all wrong, but at least I have a reason, which is more than I can say for many of my moves while playing!)
