> I learned in about 2 decades that it is a waste of time to communicate with you (not only because of the respectful manner in which your arguments are presented
When you first released your BGBzzzt over 2 decades ago, you were already telling people you were arguing with that it was a waste of your time and making sarcastic remarks about their offending your feelings. I guess nothing ever changes...
> but also because your focus is not on any issue itself but simply on being right).
It's true that I'm making subjective comments based on my own observation of your bot but I don't see how that's about being right or wrong. It looks like you don't like my reminding everyone about the questions you have avoided to answer and still avoiding to answer.
> Related to beaver ..... in the mid 90s and even in the mid 2000 I lacked a lot of knowledge I have today. And BTW the BG community wasn't very helpful to improve BGBlitz (most probably to a large part my fault but surely not 100%).
It's good that you recognize it was largely your fault that people were irritated by and disliked you and your cripleware bot for aborting 40% of games and even entire long matches, (which it still does at a lower 16% but no less irritating to your potential paid customers and free supporters).
> Beavers belong in that category ..... But if someone tells me X is important or this is wrong I try to fix it.
No you don't. You never take advice on anything other than useless features, trivial improvements that are easy to implement. Okay, so, now I'm telling you that beavers is a fundamental part of money games and is important. Do it!
> And I work on BGBlitz constantly and improve it constantly. Till the last year I was nearly the only one in a decade (GnuBG development is pretty slow) and what will come is unclear (at least I lack information).
Yes, you kept working on it but adding nothing of real essence or value to it. You are not recognizant at all that I tried all along to encourage you with positive suggestions as well as harsh criticisms to do something radically different instead of gilding the wilted lily.
You had 10 years to do better than the abandoned XG. They are now talking about "re-founding" it. Whether that will happen is unclear, yes, but what is clear is that you won't "re-found" your BGBzzzt. The only thing I feel bad about is making you wrong for something you are incapable of doing. I think I'm expecting too much from a mediocre computer programmer who doesn't understand backgammon beyond imitating other bots with so-called AI engines bastardized with non-AI human-biased cube formulas and MET's.
> Thanks to remind me to ignore your posts.
You're welcome. Make sure you ignore this post, okay? ;)
