Vague bs excuses. Can you name some of things that can go wrong because of installation and version of GnuBG..?
> I assume few people use GnuBG as plugin (but I don't know)
I have no idea what this means.
> so far this is the 2nd complain (and I could help the first one).
What was the reason for the 1st complaint? If you document it, maybe it will help me and others also... ;)
> What I assume was happening: In the free version approx each 6th game is interrupted so in a 17 point match it is pretty sure you wont come to an normal end
1- Your bot doesn't have a free version. It has a crippled trial version.
2- You have been told by many people for 20+ years that interrupting games is a stupid, irritating approach to copy protection. Try freemium or such.
3- You don't interrupt (terminate) just games but also entire matches. As you acknowledge, it will be impossible to finish even a shorter match, let alone a 17-point one. Even if people would tolerate occasionally interrupted individual games, they won't tolerate every stupid match being interrupted.
4- What is the stupid reason for interrupting bot-vs-bot games? Are you also trying to irritate the bots..? :))
> (and because I'm pretty sure I didn't tested it with an eval version)
Good marketing strategy. Just add to every detected error message that it won't happen in the paid version and add an opening splash screen to say that unintercepted errors or crashed won't happen in the pro version... :)
> If you send me the log files (log.txt and log.1.txt most probably at c:\Users\YOUR_ACCOUNT\.bgblitz) I try to find out whether it is an error in BGBlitz.
If you were giving away your bot for free, I would give away my help to you for free also. But if you want me help you debug your paid commercial product, you'll need to pay me.
What I could do for free, though, is to compile a list of all the fake features you claim that your bot offers, unfixed bugs, UI inconveniences and inconsistencies, undisclosed limitations, etc. etc. by copying/pasting from old posts in various forums, as a public service to warn people about your snake oil. Would you like me to do that?
