Nine in the zone makes for a weak blitz threat, so maybe splitting is the right idea here - either slot the 18 or split the checkers on the 24 or both. But it seems kinda loose despite perhaps being the bot move, the idea being to anchor soon before she has more checkers in the zone and a stronger blitz threat.

I prefer to bring one down regardless, and then 8/6 hoping to make a blockade. Maybe it's too passive with the big race deficit.
