Idk what you play on average but Steve plays a 3.7-3.8. If I'm assuming he's about 2 PR better on average (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I really am blind guessing what you play) then he shouldn't cube this. I hate situations like this where maybe it's a cube but all I'm doing is handing my opponent the cube like a gift. They have no decision, they just pick it up, put it on their side of the board and time marches on. It's fine if I'm playing XG but a human? Nah... There are a couple of ways this could be a cube though...
First, I saw you replied to Koca and said Steve used 6.5 minutes of his clock time. If because of that his time is so low it would severely hurt him the rest of the match should he win this game having not cubed, then he can cube.
Second, the old 'I have better shit to do' rationale. Technically wrong I suppose but looking at the potential of trying to claw back from 1a 10a C over half the time I could easily see myself saying F it. If I win great, if I lose I'm happy I don't spend the next X amount of time trying to do the near impossible.
