Take has to be ginormous, if you don't object to that technical term. The nonhits are seriously bad for Blue, if White can just cover and hide the homeboard blots quickly. With nine already off, he then becomes a small favorite even if that straggler gets closed out, which is nowhere near guaranteed to happen.
Can we find a redouble? The hits on the ace are very good, but the ones on the 3 point, decent but not as good. Just because your game plan from there is simple--complete the prime, and/or recirculate, either pick up that third blot or close out the two you have--doesn't mean it will be easy. I'm going to hold off on the cube until I hit a second checker. If I lose my market, oh well, but at least I won't have to make one difficult decision after another. If I've redoubled, Oppo won't have anywhere near as hard a time. He can just hold the cube and play almost reactively until something goes enough his way to enable a recube that may still include a serious gammon threat. NRD/T for this bear. I won't even fall off my Stability Ball if it rolls out to a beaver.
