Cube strategy against novice who takes aggressively

Inquiring minds could use a little more information. Is this player a true "push monkey", who takes just about anything and then immediately reships? Or does he at least wait until he's a game favorite to reship?
I'm not really sure he knows how to USE the cube. He never cubed the entire match, even in the final position when he had an autorecube. That's how weak of a player he was.
Your first position: Did you already know this chap was an aggressive taker, or is this how you found out?
This is how I found out. That's the first cube action of the match, and I had never seen this player before.
Again, you could try treating it as a borderline play-on against this player, figuring he might still take a honker later.
Maybe, but haven't I profited enough with his near quintuple whopper? At this point I only have the data from the first position to guide me.
Your third position: OK, in this one you will likely lose your market even against this chap if you open up either your 8 or 7 point, and he's forced out with a single 6 or 5. So despite the score and his powerful recubes, and the possibility of you rolling the dreaded 65, yeah I think you actually have to "play backgammon" here. Double, and then don't roll that 65. If you do, he's going to redouble and you will lose a gammon for the match. That's why you must not roll it.
I don't have to lose a gammon, the cube is going to be a snowman.
By this time, I was really not sure I should be doubling this. I certainly didn't expect him to never rewhip. At this point I thought I was an enormous skill favorite (on paper), and I was nervous about reshipping for the match in a position that will might not require much skill on his side. Like you said, I envisioned 65 tumbling out making me look like a chump.
