I make the 5. I'm sure OTB I wouldn't have considered anything else, so I know I will learn something. I mean I get it, the good anchor might be best. I had some recently very similar where I made sizeable errors by not anchoring.

But view is, if I anchor, I still don't have shit. A bit early to be too afraid of gammons. Although I guess it's sort of 10 checkers 'in the zone'. Or 'a' zone.

I don't want my 6 and 8 point checkers to be forced deep, or be forced to attack. The 5 is where they look like they should go, and I can anchor or attack or prime next turn. Or race.
