What is shortest meaningful rollout?

Yes, nothing more, nothing less. You can't enter 37 nor 35.

This is not an answer to my question in any way. Totally unnecessary.

Sure, even 1 trial is better than 0 trials, right?

I did a crude search here and found that about half of the rollouts posted were done for 1,296 trials.

If I wanted to compare BGBuzzt to other bots doing rollouts for some reference positions, 36 trials is meaningless. I think a bot developer must be *weird* to put such limitations on a product that he is trying to sell... (But then again, some people will buy anything if it's cheap;)

I assume you mean the "pro" version. May I ask if/what do you use it for?

I tried two rollouts with the same value entered and it produced the same results. Replicating rollouts must be the purpose. Or leave it zero for the bot to pick a random seed.

It doesn't. I wasn't sure because when you paste the position to BGBuzzt, there is no visible indication that BGBuzzt recognizes it as a money game position. Since the selection is not grayed out and with BGBuzzt being such a buggy, sloppy amateur effort, I didn't want to assume anything.

And what about the "truncated" "horizon" selection? Apparently you don't now what it does either but if you "reject", errr..., "drop" and email to Frank, I'm sure he will explain it to you so that you can get your money's worth out of doing (beaverless) money game rollouts with the "mysteriously undocumented" :) BGBuzzt...
