When viewing a thread, does anybody see all the messages expanded on one page, or do you see a list of individual links that you have to click one-by-one in order to read the whole thing? If this expanded view isn't working for anyone, it's a pretty sub-optimal user experience.

I believe it's a server-side bug in the old WebBBS 5.12 software.

Apparently this has been a recurring, acknowledged issue - see the "Preferences" thread from January 2025 and "Please Instruct Tag New and Reversed Threaded List Style Guestbook to get back to work" from January 2026.

I also gave suggestions for improving/updating/migrating the forum back in March 2024. https://www.bgonline.org/forums/webbbs_config.pl?noframes;read=212891

I think it is still not working properly up until now, August 2026.

Please can it be fixed / the site migrated to something more modern and performant?
