Blue is behind in the race, and has got an anchor. The plan is to strengthen the homeboard and wait for a shot.

White has plenty of spares on his 6 and 8-point, so getting comfortable waiting is a plus for Blue.

7/5(2) 6/4(2) creates a powerful homeboard, but leaves Blue unflexible.

20/18(2) 7/5(2) gets us a spare and puts additional pressure on White’s 13-point. Maybe even 6/4(2) for additional sixes to play.

I do not see better alternatives: 20/18(2) 7/5(2) for me.
