John Hurst, winner of the 2007 UK Masters and the 2007 Bright 'n' Breezy. urst struck first but Andrew Plater won the Crawford game and the DMP decider, with 19 seconds left on his clock.

Tassilo Ryzmann, winner of the 2008 Nordic Open. After two double/passes, at DMP Frederic Andrieu hit a shot in an acepoint game after a bearoff misplay and eventually won.

Andreas Olsen, winner of the 2007 Danish Championship. vs. Lars Trabolt, winner of the 2001 Nordic Open. Olsen won the first game, Trabolt won gammon in the second. At DMP Olsen left a shot in the bearoff and lost to Trabolt.

Athanasios Lagopatis, winner of the 2006 Nordic Open. Lagopatis dropped the first game. In the second, he had 5 men on the acepoint and lost gammon and match to Rida Hassan.

Bob Koca -- never heard of him -- vs. Mike Svobodny, winner of the 1996 Nordic Open and the 1984 World Championship. Koca doubled Svobo out twice and then ran over Svobodny in the Crawford game.

Jakob Simonsen, winner of the 200 euro jackpot at the 2008 World Championship, beat Oscar Carlsson 3-0 in 2 games.

Matvey Natanzon, winner of the 2008 Portuguese Open and the 2008 Paris Masters, beat Aaron Kopper. Falafel won a doubled game and Kopper won the Crawford game. At DMP, Kopper played a backgame and missed a double shot. 18 and 10 seconds left on their clocks at game's end.

Karsten Bredahl, winner of the 2003 and 2005 Nordic Opens.

François Tardieu won the 2007 Aix-les-Bains.

After two double/passes, at DMP Bredahl won with a 2-4-5 backgame.
