Leaving aside the possibility that Oppo has been eating some funny mushrooms, he or she is going to pass if you redouble. Getting hit is obviously bad for them, but even if you miss, can they redouble? 63 or 33 makes the 12 point and they aren't going to go to 32 betting on not only jumping that bollard but also bringing it home from there. Speaking of 32, your 32 buttons up the two backward blots and doesn't leave them a lot to work with. 52 makes the mid, no redouble from here either. 66 isn't that bad, really. 55 is the biggest baddie, forcing a single shot. Not enough cats and dogs for them to talk themselves into a take.

But having little to fear on the first sequence doesn't guarantee this is TG. We don't have a closed board yet, and might not achieve it in time to get that gammon we want. Oppo can slime back into a take after our immediate bad rolls, or even after a hit, with a flyshot ace-x hitting in the outerboard. I won't be surprised if this turns out to be a small TG, but I would take the points now and not have to worry about tree roots tripping us up along the way. BTW I don't think we should ever berate ourselves if the bot tells us we missed a micro-TG if we will have any real decisions to make going forward. Do we think we will play it 100% perfectly from there on and not give back at least the micropoints we left on the table, if not more, with our redouble?
