Is handling opponent's checkers to help you count the race allowed?

It makes the opponent need to pay attention to if those checkers will be adjusted incorrectly and also is blocking their view of the board. If not illegal, I think it should be.

If I'm a tournament director, using the USBGF rule set, I would allow this action. There are things I do on my turn where I am going to temporarily block your view of the board. Also, the adjustment is fractional, the checkers are nowhere near being adjusted incorrectly.
