Calm down after very good or very bad roll sequences. Take a few deep breath.

This is very good advice, and I'll expand it. Any time the fundamental nature of the game changes, take a little time to reassess what's going on.

For example, you were playing a holding game and then hit a shot.

Or, you rolled a big double and started a blitz.

Or, your blitz failed and you have to convert to a different type of game.

In all of these cases, you hit a phase change. Slow down at that point.
