I look forward to the answers of when/why. For now ...

Two options for the 6: 13/6 and 8/2. I don't see the point of volunteering a blot on the 13 for white's good chance of his own 6 next roll. 8/2 is sort of the default ... but wait.

The choices for what to do with the 1 are not exactly numerous. And some of them are downright scary, such as 13/12! 3/2 and 6/5 are more passive than even my reputation advertises. So I'm going to hit.
