Saving the gammon is still achievable if we play the unappetizing play, 8/6(4).
Does that ugly board kill forever the waiting for a shot and then containing the checker game plan ?
Not definitively. Because the bear off (in disorder) in order to maximize gammons (on White side) may offer un second checker for Blue after the potential hit.
So 8/6(4).
