Have you seen Sage’s Bot Performance page? https://www.bgsage.ai/botperformance/

They report much larger differences for backgames, containment games, and especially snake positions than for ordinary positions, including 5.85 versus 32.24 PR for snakes at Sage 3T/XG Roller++, measured against Sage’s rollout reference. The page documents the analysis levels used for both engines and the reference rollout settings.

I don’t know how to paste Sage analysis here the way XG’s custom export allows, but anyway, my sample position rollout used 12,960 games, Gigantic search interval, 4P checker play, and 2P cube decisions.
