Decisions in a long match are essentially the same as money but a 7 point match is far removed from what most would consider a long match. I also use money when looking at positions but if I was going to use a match length that I'd consider a money equivalent, I'd settle for nothing less than 15 points. It may seem a bit steep, but better to overshoot than undershoot and have an external variable creep in that you're unaware of.

GNU's Jacoby rule is toggled on by default, you can check if yours is on by Settings >> Options >> Cube.

I wouldn't say GNU isn't reliable above 2 ply, but I would say there are some intricacies we don't completely understand and it's safer to use 2 ply. Also, although GNU is much faster than Snowie in general, I don't find the time used from 2 ply analysis to 4 ply analysis is worth it in general. I think sticking with 2 ply is the way to go.
