With such a small roll, the options are limited. 24/21 will safety aa blot and put blue in position to escape. 21/18* leaves a bunch of blots but sets another white checker back and gets the pip count closer to even. There is also 22/20 21/20, moving the anchor up a point.
And that is without looking at blue's own board. 6/4 6/5 safeties that blot, but breaks the prime wide open and gives an escape route with a 5 for white. 7/4 also breaks up the 4-point prime, leaving a vulnerable blot 6 points away from white, who would be salivating. I'll ignore these 2 options.
Lastly, I see 8/7 8/6. Yes, that also shortens up the prime, but gives blue 2 active builders for the blot on the 4-point. I like this idea, but I don't think the timing is right. (Stick would be yelling "this is no time to be passive!")
White has 14 rolls with which to hit the 4-point blot. He also has multiple rolls to hit the blots in his home board, both single hits and rolls where he can safety his checkers after the hit. Even though it leaves 5 blots, I'm in favor of putting white on the bar. I need to slow him down.
21/18*
