I swear I posted this same position or something eerily similar as a PotD. I searched briefly though and couldn't find it. One thing a lot of people undervalue in such a position is the doubler's blotted home board. This is a lot of life after death as the only immediate hit and cover is [64]. Sometimes it's even there for two turns. This detail for me makes it a take without question. (our return shots are instant death)

Is it a cube? Given the details that it's an 8 cube going to 16 it would be a crime to even think about not doubling this against anyone but a whale. Most people even playing for reasonable stakes get tight when they're looking at a 16 cube especially when the worst case scenario in their head is they get gammoned. We will draw a lot a lot of passes here from people who don't understand the position and people who don't want the variance of a 16 cube.
