I have read "a 4-point prime is stronger than you think". A 61 doesn't give Blue the opportunity to roll it forward now - Blue shouldn't think about using checkers on the 10 to dangle a blot in front of White's lone checker in Blue's home board.

What does that leave? The 6 is 13/7. What about the 1? It seems there are 2 choices: 10/9 or 6/5. With 10/9 there are 6 rolls for White to escape and hit. With 6/5 there are 4 rolls to escape but still vulnerable. Even with slim chances for the hit, Blue is enough behind it seems worth the risk.

If White doesn't hit next roll, Blue is now in good position to strengthen his board.
