I don't know that many would be alert enough to make this play OtB or maybe make it for all the right reasons. Yes, it's true as some mentioned that we don't want want the opponent to make a second anchor but I don't think anyone mentioned that we do it because another blot is hanging. Or maybe more to the point the blot is hanging combined with the opponent's timing. See variants below.
