Oops, I posted without reading the messages in order. I see that Stick had already asked this. Sorry. :(

To make up for my bad, I would like to offer a variant. How about allowing the opening doubles for player B but for each time that player B rolls a double for opening roll, allow player A to place an additional checker on the board? (i.e. three consecutive opening doubles for player B, three more checkers for player A)

I don't think that 200 IQ math geniuses deserve any lesser challenges than this. Don't ever undersell yourselves... ;)
