I think that would be a big mistake.

People expect to be guaranteed playing more than one match when paying a goodly sum to enter a major tournament -- remember, half the field loses in the first round.

Sure, some of them may enter jackpots but not all will. So, you'll lose some players after the first round, maybe they'll go home -- that will impact the hotel, etc.

Generally, those who are going to enter jackpots will do so anyway, after they're out of consolation or coincident, if allowed.
