Your idea of no conso/LC and jackpots side events may work well in Europe where you usually have sponsership and 100% or better return. If you can provide jackpots/side events for those losing quickly you may find plenty willing, but here in the states with little sponsership, quite a few players aren't going to want to be raked 10-15% several more times and will prefer their shots at the conso and even LC.
