Love the Swiss system

As I've said many times, my ideal tourney would be a Swiss knockout played until there's one survivor. In a typical long weekend for a major ABT event...ie lets assume 64 players, you'd play 9 pt matches, and once you have your 3rd loss you are OUT. The event continues until 1 player has fewer than 3 losses in which case he's won.
How do you pay the other places ? Basically like a golf tourney and noting that byes don't count as a win !!
Thus if the winner is 11-2 and there's a 10-3 two 9-3's and four 8-3's for example. You have 8 prize winners.
Under this system, the winner is going to get somewhat less than twice 2nd place etc down the line as the competitors have played many matches.
Take a look here and you can see my basic idea of how I'd pay out, noting that I'd try to pay about 7 or 8 players in a 64 player field. http://www.usopen.com/pdf/moneyList.pdf
Of course if there's a several player tie for 6th-10th they'll be dividing up 3 player's share 5 ways.
