First, congratulations on the wonderful coverage provided from Cannes. Can't wait to see the video on the air.

On the question of consolation and last chance events, my feeling is that there would be less participants even in Europe, when you cut-out consol and lc.

In addition to wanting to play more than one match, there is prestige associated to wining a consolation or last chance event that doesn't come with winning a Jackpot unless the Jaokpot entry fee is high.

If the entry into the Jackpot is high, and that is the only option for the player knocked out of the main, the combined expenditure will imho discourage players who otherwise would attend. I think even in Europe, many more would attend tournaments if entry fees were significantly lower.

There is also a greater chaance of having luck in the draw in consol and lc events compared to Jackpots that field fewer players. This luck of the draw aspect appeals to many a player as they have more wining chances in a larger and weaker field than usually in jackpots.
