Computer for GNU rollouts?

It'll do rollouts just fine. You could certainly get a desktop that would be cheaper and at least twice as fast but for a laptop at this price this seems pretty good. The kicker is in two parts, there will always be a better deal somewhere on the internet and the longer you wait the faster laptops will become while staying at around the same price. The problem is that at some point you just have to bite the bullet and buy something. The biggest consideration is whether or not you can get a quad-core CPU which will make the biggest difference in your rollouts but I don't know if there are any quad-core laptops in that price range.
